About Dr Anne
Dr Anne Connell is a caring and experienced General Practitioner with a special interest in Skin Cancer and Women's Health.
Dr Anne graduated MBChB from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and completed her higher professional training in the UK. She relocated to Melbourne in 2008, attaining Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners that same year. She quickly recognised a need for further training in skin cancer, and commenced her first certificate course in skin cancer management in 2009. Appetite whetted (and enjoying the procedural side of things), she continued her studies in skin cancer over subsequent years, culminating in the decision to commit to the academic rigor of the University of Queensland Masters program of study in Skin Cancer Medicine. Having graduated from the program she returned to continue providing education to the next wave of eager academics in her role as Course Coordinator for the 'Assessment and Diagnosis' course of the UQ postgraduate Skin Cancer programs from 2020 -2024. She also holds the coveted 'Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor' status with Skin Cancer College Australasia.
Dr Anne's other love is providing high quality medical care to the women of Australia. With her affiliations with multiple hospitals in Melbourne, Dr Anne enjoys providing a safe and caring environment for Shared Antenatal Care as well as providing all other aspects of medical care for women of all ages.
